Collaborating To Improve Safety Program Effectiveness
Join Us At SCAA's Safety SHARE Roundtable
Enhance the effectiveness of your safety program by joining with other SoCal flight departments at the SCAA SHARE Roundtable.
SHARE (Safety Hazard Awareness Reporting & Empowerment) is a program designed by SCAA and powered by Baldwin Aviation to create an open format for dialogue and sharing of safety data. Through SHARE, participants identify trends, deviations, successful programs, current issues, and discuss information that can improve the safety among operators. All this is done openly and candidly in a confidential setting. SHARE creates an environment in which operators can feel comfortable enough to share their experiences. Overall, SHARE participants will be able to learn from each other and benefit from a larger collective data and experience set, with the goal of not having to learn any lesson more than once.

Case study presentation and discussions.
Based on the data available from Safety Committee flight departments with mature Safety Management Systems, a case study will be presented to the attendees for analysis and discussion. This discussion will provide the opportunity to dive deep into real scenarios.
Several topics pertinent to Southern California will be introduced to the roundtable participants. Participation in this robust group discussion can be especially beneficial to SoCal operators.
Technology and data collection.
Representatives from Baldwin Aviation will present the newly launched SHARE web portal, a technology and safety data collection collaboration between SCAA and Baldwin Aviation. Don Baldwin and Sunshine McCarthy will discuss how the web portal will benefit SHARE participants’ safety reporting systems.
The SHARE Roundtable event will conclude with a group discussion of participants’ favorite best practices. All registered participants will be asked to name a favorite best practice supporting their safety program.
