SCAA's 8th Annual Safety Standdown Day on Sept. 12th, CRQ
For 2016, the SCAA Safety Committee will focus on the theme of Expectation Bias. This human factors safety hazard has been identified and studied as the contributing factor in numerous aviation accidents. As the aviation environment becomes more complex, we constantly face situations where we see and hear what we expect, but is it not what is actually happening. Safety Standdown Day, as well as the 2016 SHARE events, will focus on Expectation Bias and its effects on ALL aviation disciplines.
